Hi all, hope you are enjoying the Easter weekend whatever you are doing. I thought that I would share our recent bathroom renovation, which was long overdue and our first renovation. Got the design done by a local bathroom shop and build by local builders. There were a few hiccups and a few things left to tidy up, but having done some building work before, know there are a few glitches and to have suppliers on speed dial if necessary! Overall though nothing too major we weren’t able to deal with.

Enjoy our new spathroom. Lights are Phillips Hue so we can change the feel at any time. What we did learn is that hue GU10s are 2mm bigger than normal GU10s and don’t fit in an IP66 recessed light fitting casing!.

That looks lovely! I had my bathroom recently done in similar (ish) colours and I love it. Love your wooden panels (very zen) and wish I had thought about those storage cubbies and a longer towel radiator as you had done!

thanks. You have great taste!! The house is a 1930s semi and we still kept some of the retro fittings in the house from the previous owners and I wanted to keep the style fitting with that type of house. The western red cedar was panels made up from a fence we did a number of years ago, so we recycled it. The batons on the door were leftovers but as you can see they are two different colours so I need to go get some stain to try and even it out. Plus get some veneer for the right of the cupboard door where it is plastered or something. Didn’t have enough wood for the shelving sadly and it is very difficult to procure small amounts, so it was the tile with the wood effect. Also builder forgot what we had decided to clad the shelves with before tiling, so there was one slight glitch on the design (Sorry for the long explanation for the finish!). But anyway, the wood adds to the spa like experience. Spent holidays recently in Finland and Turkey so always looking for inspiration!
