News is coming in about the drops in tariff from 1st of April. Generally looks like about 3.5p off the day and off-peak import rates, bringing Octopus Go off-peak down to around 5.5p and IOG down to around an incredible 3.5p.

Most companies prices are dropping and there are qualifying criteria for the better rates (ie an EV for EV tariffs), but it’s a good time for those with batteries and access to an off-peak tariff

If you’re thinking about a switch to Octopus, consider using one of the groups referral codes in the pinned referral post. You & the referrer will get £50 account credit. Obviously I’d prefer if you used mine or Rob’s, but any one will do

I’ve had an email in the last hour stating Go will be reducing to 4.99 pence and that the full government reduction will be applied to the gas tracker. It’s now probably worth my reverting to immersion heater overnight for hot water alongside charging my battery

Incredible overnight price for IOG ! I thought my tomato was cheap at 5p!! Shame it’s in summer when I’m producing so much solar! But heating the house with electric overnight seems a better option than gas now ! shame I don’t have an immersion heater

Still awaiting my email to see what the NW rates are, in other news the prats anti ev post didn’t last long

Great news – just had mine this morning. Just makes my decision as to whether to switch to Flux for all that summer export more tricky. Nice problem to have

Yep, lovely news. Offsets the drop in export rates nicely.

I’ve just shared my Octopus referral link on the referenced post of anyone is interested. Seems like lots of comments from many years ago on there!

I’ve shared a link for Eon Next on the attached post for referral links for other suppliers. If you consider using my link I would be most greatful & most humbled.

E.on new EV tarrifs with overnight low as 4.99p !!

New rates out by eon, 4.99p smart charging and 5.99 for the non smart version coming into place 1st April, until then it’s 8.5p.

These rates are also fixed for 12 months too

If switching using my referral will get us a £50 gift voucher each

I’ve added my referral to the list, I’ve not had anyone use it ever, but it looks like they are in the order of oldest first so I don’t rate anyone’s chances if we’ve posted links recently…

Thats FANTASTIC news. I’m waiting for a newbuild to be finished (Oct/Nov eta) and it has ASHP, 6kw array with battery option and an EV charger and I can’t wait to move in and start taking advantage of TOU tariffs. We’re still trying to negotiate what size battery to get installed, currently waiting on heat loss calcs and expected daily winter KWH estimates. Bring it on

If IOG prices do drop to 3.5p, that’ll be a great incentive to many to increase battery capacity….
