Hi all, our kitchen tap has broken and I thought I’d ask the opinions of this lovely group as I have no idea about which brands are good/should be avoided.

Would love to hear people’s opinions on what brands they used for their kitchen tap (and/or bathroom taps, we’re renovating the bathroom later this year). Is there anything that I should be avoiding?

Also undecided about if we need a pull-out spray, we inherited one but I haven’t been using the spray function much (other family members do so more than me). Any thoughts on pull out spray taps welcome Are they prone to breaking more frequently, because there’s more moving parts?

I’ll post a link to a couple of the ones we’re considering in the comments. Pic of our current (broken) tap

Following as I’m wondering which brands too. I do personally use the pull out all the time to clean around the sink

Hansgrohe for taps – decent quality and v reasonable price. We have a swing spray – well worth it but prefer ones where hose is hidden inside a “normal” tap neck.

Grohl is one of the best. I’ve got their smart tap and it’s brilliant. The hose is hidden in the long spout, you turn the tap on & off by pressing the button at the front, very handy if your hands are full as you can tap it with your elbow! & you turn the temperature up & down by turning the small band on the base, or you can leave it at the selected temperature. Not cheap but I don’t think I’d have any other tap now.

Here’s one of the options we’re looking at, not sure if Grohe and Hansgrohe are the same brand?

I just bought a caple tap because I like the handle in the middle and above the flow of water. This version has a pull out spout https://www.tapwarehouse.com/…/caple-atlanta-mono…
