    Hi,

We’ve just paid the deposit to have 7 panels and a 5kwh battery installed on our 4 bedroom house. We’ve got a dormer window and a multi angled roof so we can’t fit more on.

I’m wondering whether I can DIY install some plug in panels to supplement this when they come out in the UK. Is it possible to add plug in panels when an inverter is already returning power to the grid from an installed system? Or could I send the power from plug in panels to the AC input on the inverter?

There is a small flat roofed area on our extension, which the installer advised is not worth putting panels on due to the cost of re-felting etc. We also have a south facing log cabin style shed and a south facing wall. Pretty sure I could find a way to DIY some smaller lighter panels on to these areas if it’s worthwhile.

Am I barking up the wrong tree?

    Jez
