27k for a garage conversion in South Lincolnshire…
We have a single garage and have been quoted upwards of 27k for conversion with a 1.4 knock through to bedroom with lintel, and ensuite to front. Water is available and drainage would join existing a couple of meters away.
We are in South Lincolnshire. Which is a pretty cheap part of the country…

Sounds expensive to me, we just completed on to a high spec new flat roof and still no where near that cost

That sounds expensive. We had ours converted this year into an additional sitting room (bedroom when family stay) and a shower room. Total area approx 5m x 3m. There was a lot of preparation work as the garage had a large pit in it and the concrete slabs were crumbling and the floor had to be dug up. We also had wet under floor heating installed in the two new rooms. Total cost £21,500, and the UFH was £3,500 of that total cost. Leicestershire.

How many quotes have you had? Get three to the same scope and then you’ll have a solid idea of what the general rate is. Weather you think it’s expensive or not, is irrelevant (Sadly) the way to control the scope is to create plans yourself and mark all things like sockets and radiators and specify the exact fittings you want from doors to light switches. I found this to work quite well

Without more information and seeing it no one on here can really comment on the price just do the sensible thing and get 3 quotes then you will have some idea
