Huge amount of shading on that vertical install, how much ballast do you have for the shed roof mounted panels to compensate for wind loading? Are they generating well?
-
Did you need planning permission for your vertical setup? Is it between you and a neighbour? I’ve heard its seen as a ground mounted array.

I will bet you have not been through a winter storm yet with 60mph winds as that shed roof and panels will be found somewhere in your neighbourhood !
Who approved the wind shear / wind load calculations?
This is why MCS exists and professional installers will just say, nope not suitable on that roof.

Well done with your solar install. It looks like you’ve installed 2 different types of panels on your shed roof. I guess it’s done at different times. Don’t let the keyboard warriors spoil your good work. Usually, they don’t have the skill to do it themselves

Without trying to take sides. There’s a reason installers have to carry out wind loading calculations etc. You’d be amazed on how much the panels act like a kite. He’s installed on a high pitch to catch more with the sun but you’d find if a design was actually calculated it would be 15o to help stop the wind loading.
You’ll likely find in the next lot of heavy winds we get that will be strait off and if it’s fixed well it’ll take the shed roof with it. Sometimes you don’t need a “crystal ball” you just need “common sense” as you say.

there is a reason we have planning permission and building control rules.
Vertical panels a fine but the shed roof panels are dangerous because of neighbouring gardens.
They will come off in a bad storm.

Nice installs on the fence buddy, mindful for the roof, probably have already thought of it but in winter you would want to collapse that flat
-
Lots saying nice, but I wouldn’t want to be your neighbour. How high is that “fence”
-
fence is 2m but there are a lot taller!! It also helps to shield us from there overgrown trees
