Any experts in Northumberland? I’m looking to convert my garage into a salon for my wife (sad times.)What can I expect to pay to hire someone? Also, what needs to be done to turn the garage into a functional business in terms of conpliance, safety and whatever else? Cheers.

U don’t need drawings or planning permission for council, Only building regulations that is up to u if u want building regs, easy when u sell the house These is some of my latest garden conversion

Your advice could lead to enforcement action against him, I would seek the advice of a Planning consultant. The business depends on employment use and visitors (her customers), so Parking will be taken into consideration. This will be a planning application. As you are severing the use of the garage, into a separate commercial unit. I would recommend you consider Approaching a Planner.

Before you do anything, get permission from council for change of use to a business premise.
