    I’ve had a £5800 quote to add 15 panels

    I have a Solis 8 kwh inverter and fogstar 16.1 kwh setup works brilliant judt had a £5800 quote to add 15 panels to the system and at 80 yrs old cant see it feasable on return however i have seen Ecoflow system so i could add these cheeply however cant find if it will clash with existing system .i have dno 98 and now export .any advise greatfully recieved. I have a Zappi and on octupus intelligent

    Some clown quoted 4500 for 10 panels to go into my existing spare mppt. ….

    Where are you going to mount the Ecoflow panels?

    Sounds excessive and as you said if you are already making use of the cheap night rates into the battery the savings will be reduced compared to a full install from scratch. With you already having an inverter, you could get some panels, cable and mc4 connectors and connect them into it without the need to buy specific kit for plugging into a sockets. You could then place the panels up against a fence or somewhere else that gets the sun.

      I like to keep the grey matter going i think i will do it myself and sod the installation cert

    Hopefully you have a G99 with the 8kW inverter? £5800 seems expensive to add some panels but depends on scaffolding requirements etc. Unplug the panels if there is every a warranty claim!

      get two more quotes use local installers if you can sure to get a better price than that akio 475 panels are around 130 each look at price on google sites
