Has anyone signed up to Axl Energy?
Posted by Sara Harry on March 19, 2026 at 5:25 pmHi. Can I hear from people that have signed up to axle energy please.
It says the events can last for an hr and a half. Will it completely drain the batteries?
Also how easy is it to opt out if your battery is low?
How have people found it?
I have 5kw inverter and 7kw battery
Many thanks

I am using Axle Energy as the technology underpinning Gridpay for ZAPPI where they pay me £10 per month for allowing them to smart charge my EV during my off peak period. I always charge my home batteries then so charging the EV never drains them.

Hi, signed up for it last week using the referral link and my first event was yesterday. The 1hr event took 48% of my battery which was at 100% at the start – I have a 5kw inverter and EP12 battery. We had more than enough battery left for overnight.

Had my first 1 hour session earlier this week. Batteries were well charged, the session took about 20% from them. Looking forward to seeing what the return is.

Hi
Been with them since December.
2 x 9.5 battery
3.34 exported in the hour this week. I am limited to 3.68kw export due to the g99 set by DNO.
They are in Beta testing and initially had to reset the givenwegy settings after. They have a watt app group and have them feedback. The last 3 sessions have worked amazing and the one this week I even forgot to check the settings ! As it’s all worked and put everything back to how I had it before. If your battery is low just over ride the settings that got sent

Hi, yes it will drain the battery.
But they currently pay £1/kwh, so if it drains the battery, and you pay 30p/kwh for grid power, your still 70p/kwh in profit.

It will set you battery to export at full power, if you only have a little battery then yes it could potentialy empty
