What would you expect to pay for this system?

    It’s 14 panels.

    2 batteries.

I cost the system including scaffolding and extras at maximum £5800. I don’t get where the extra £3950 comes from. I appreciate profit to add on but nearly £4k??

Could they not fit a 10.1kwh battery instead of 2 smaller ones. Mine worked out cheaper doing that

Def need a 10k battery, wouldn’t expect to pay about £8-10k with a bigger battery

    I got 15 panels, 10kwh battery for £8.2k

How much would you expect to earn if you was laying out 6k ? Then also got to pay there sparks. Pay overheads, office staff, registrations, tools etc.

not saying the price is good or bad but people to quick to shoot company’s down

Overheads, wages. Labour and profit. The money going to the professional roofing contractor alone will be about £1400 depending if you live in a cheap Labour part of the country or not.

Are you able to fit ,commission and guarantee the system, With the appropriate approval and MCS paperwork? Do you have the insurance and technical qualifications to safely carry out this kind of work with the relevant governing bodies checking to make sure you deliver quality installations? Have the correct tools and insurance to make sure things get done the right way let alone the cost of having all these?? This isn’t a BBQ you can buy from B&Q it’s a power station on your roof which if done correctly will give you free energy for the next 20 years plus. Hopefully you can see the value in all of the above. You don’t want this done at the cheapest price you want this done the right way the safest way.

Have you included the scaffolding costs?, not the cheapest quote and the battery is pretty small, get another couple of local quotes as a comparison.

Slightly on the top side. If you can get more panels plus a 10kWh battery for the same price, then I would suggest you try to negotiate a better deal.

Too much money for cheap kit, a too small battery and you ought to have bird proofing and g99 mcs etc paperwork mentioned imho

Good luck at finding an installer to fit the same system for your suggested £5800.

Just for clarity as there have been some big bites on here. I am not saying I expect the system fit for £5800.

I am asking people more knowledgeable than me if the price quoted is a fair price. My starting point was to itemise the quote. From my basic understanding it looks on paper like an £8500 -£9000 system. Just after some honest opinions not installers getting their backs up!

Do you fit systems? If so, crack on get it done. Sick of seeing customers trying to dictate prices. Thats the price. Dont forget about vans, lads wages, tools, mcs costs you name it, its included
